The Lakes of Jacaranda has a recreational area located at 575 Lake of the Woods Drive. It was constructed by J&J Builders, the company that built the homes on Taylor Woodrow’s land and had the exclusive build rights at that time.
The intent of J&J Builders was to include membership to this facility in the deed of every home built in the Lakes of Jacaranda for an assessment of $5,000 at the time of purchase. To maintain the facility an annual dues would be collected from the lot owners. A board of directors would be elected to manage the budget for maintenance and improvements.
The recreational amenities include two tennis courts, a clubhouse and a pool. Parking at the facility is for permit parking only. Activities are run by members of the LOJ community. Any member of the LOJ community can attend an activity or lead a new one.
Clubhouse rental by LOJ community residents is available to them for their personal needs. The rental charge at this time (2019) is $50 and can be rented for baby showers, private parties, sporting events, etc. The intent is not to rent it for club affiliations. A document titled Clubhouse Rules was created and can be found on this website under Guidelines & Rules.
